Hello all. I would like to know what would be a good asking price, would be for a White 1993 F350, 2WD, 7.3 dually diesel exe cab long bed. Has 82358 miles on her and also is clean inside and out. Tires in front are in good shape and the rears have 3000 miles them. The truck is all stocked, runs good just smokes on start up, and has rear sliding window running boards and a bed liner. Kelly blue book say, good is 6800 and excellent is 7450. The passenger power window just broke goes down but not up. I did replace the torque converter and the speedo just 1500 miles ago. Just were curies what would be a good price to start at. Any info would be good.

What area of the county are you in. If you are in the northwest, I think about 5 bucks and I'll pay for the fuel and take you home when you drop it off. Sounds like a nice rig, but location can also affect price.

Almost identical truck is in the local shopper this week here (Oregon), asking price 7900. He doesn't have a broken window tho...
2WD isn't real popular here; but elsewhere, it is. Like the man said, location makes a big difference....maybe a grand or two.
That's real low mileage you've got, which is pretty attractive; but getting someone to believe it is a different story. As a buyer, I would automatically assume it to be 183,000; and you'd have a pretty hard time convincing me otherwise. An entire stack of receipts, with mileage noted, going all the way back to near-new, and extending up to near-current date; would convince me. But without those....

There used to be a link here, to some useful IDI-diesel tech info; but it was chopped out by others, in a vain attempt to repress the very essence of the internet: linking!
sigh...

Just sometimes, people are still telling the truth d9d.
Here's a scenario, guy finds TDS sees info re SCAs and has never used them but wants to sell his truck. So he waddles on down to Ford dealer get's 2 bottles comes back dumps them in, drives around the block several times. Puts a for sale sign on it, Joe buyer arrives with test strips dips it sees SCAs reading good. Joe asks have you always used SCAs seller says yep always have.......who would you believe........... I live near Sacramento & just picked up a 94 F350 Turbo w/ ATS intercooler upgrades E4OD 4X4 Crew Cab Dually for $10K.
He was asking $13K.
Got it from the 2nd owner with a 157K miles on the clock, a freshly rebuilt tranny, camper shell, lumber rack, running boards, chrome brush guard thingy, and aluminum wheels, and a stack of paperwork. Interior & exterior are in good/very good condition, with the dash bezel device needing to be replaced.
I live up in the New England area and I paid 4500 for my truck. Its a F350 with the t 7.3 diesel and its a XLT Lariat, the interior looks brand new. 100,000 miles. Its a single cab with long bed, paint is practicly like new and it runs perfect no smoke no problems what so ever and its a 4x4. Couldnt ask for a better truck. The blue book said I payed a little more then it was worth so im not sure that sounds a little high to me but like everyone else has said maybe the location affects the price by alot.

thursday I am going to pickup a 92 f350 reg cab, nat. asp, with 151000 miles on it. Looked at it yesterday and it is mechanically in great shape, it has a flatbed, good maint. log, and sca added. I am giong to pay 4,700. But I am going 4 hours to the middle of wyoming to get it, it wasn't listed for sale, my brother just happened to run into a rancher that just bought a new pickup. Usually I would look at a pickup that has been on a ranch for 13 years (it has only on owner) but this was an exception.
I am selling my truck if anyone is interested. I need to sell asap. I have two trucks and the wife likes the newer one more. If anyone is interested, pm me or email me for the details and pictures. I will drive anywhere to meet.
I have a suggestion, list it on the "for sale" section here and in your local truck trader, and ask a bit more than waht you think it's worth, and be willing to haggle a bit, I heard it said by someone else, that a good deal is both people think they got one. If you can convince people you've changed the oil and kept up with SCAs, and it looks good, somebody here or a local truck enthusiast may pay top dollar for it. It may be less valuable right now than it could be with fuel prices through the roof and diesel especially high.

I do have it for sale here, in the for sale section. I just thought I would throw it out here since this is where this type of truck is discussed. By the way I have changed the oil regularly, and a local diesel shop can confirm the sca is closely watched. They do everything to the truck I don't dare, or I want to make sure is done right.
