Propane Installed at last , three more questions......
Firstly, thanks to all who have shared ideas and advice with me as I made up my own propane injection system. The job is now done and seems to work well. I put the system in to help pull my 6,000 lbs 5th wheel TT. Currently I have no mountains nearby to test the system in real life application so I have set the secondary regulator at about 2 lbs.for now. It only will activate at WOT unless I press my manual activation switch. I am wondering what do you have your regulator set at , and what happens if you increase it and is that a static pressure reading or under flow conditions ???
PS : My Pyro gauge is on order
Thanks again

Re: Propane Installed at last , three more questions......
I think most guys have there pane come on before WOT, but if thats how you want to do it, you might be able to turn it up a little more, you'll have to play with it, i believe at a certainly level you'll get kind of a pre-detonation sound and you don't want to go much farther, would you be able to go through your install on here with what parts you used and where you got them.

Congrats! Did you retard your IP any, and if so to what?

OK, make that 4 questions Should I be considering an IP adjustment ?? I have put up a few pictures in my gallery, most parts used were Canadian born items that I salvaged / bought from a local fellow who does propane fuel conversions on Taxis cabs etc..

Re: Propane Installed at last , three more questions......
i got mine done too, but the regulator even they are 2 they are not that ease to regulate the flow. wath is the range on the ones you have? i wa thinking on geting one for 0-5 psi but places where is for sale they only sale to companies .
anybody know where to get a real accurate regulator?
and, is there any digital regulator that you can regulate from inside the vehicle?
thank you, exekiel

problem with an in cab regulator is that for the regulator to be inside you would have to run a high pressure(input) propane hose inside...unless you had an electronically controlled one connected by wire!?!?! i dont know if that exists!

Geezzzz.... I don't think I'd want THAT in MY cab!! No way!

I agree, especally if you are a Somker,...
I have mine set to activate at 3/4 throttle, maybee a little before. The first reg at the tank is set at 12 PSI, the second is set at 5PSI. I have a turbo so it will handle a little more LPG.
There are a lot of variables, like what size line, inpt nozzle, where it is inserted etc. You just need to experiment to see what works for you truck.

RE :There are a lot of variables, like what size line, inpt nozzle, where it is inserted etc. You just need to experiment to see what works for you truck and how about an internal control regulator.
I guess a guy could put a longggggggggggggg piece of threaded rod into the final regulator top, mount the regulator sideways and put the rod through the firewall with some type of T handle.
In my system I have used a slightly modified regulator from a travel trailer as my first regulator which brings tank pressure down to 10 psi after turning up the factory setting and plugging the relief vent and then I am using a 400 lb input acetlyne ( spelling ?? ) regulator under the hood set at about 2 PSI static. but I have changed the internal spring to something a bit lighter which seems to make the adjusting easier. For a nozzle I am using a propane torch tip which I took off of an old " home handyman " plumbing torch.
