Pyro location

Just wondering the best location to install the sensor for my pyrometer. Can it go in the cross over pipe or is there a different location?

Re: Pyro location

When I contacted ATS about this, they recommended that the probe go in one of the exhaust manifolds. They said the response is faster and more accurate.

Re: Pyro location

Trev,
Are you sure your 1992 has a factory Turbo, I recall them not available until 93-1/2 and as an option, some what rare.

Re: Pyro location

I put mine on the drivers side of the crossover pipe 3"-6" from the manifold. that seamed to be the general consensus on here. Haven't had any problems.

Re: Pyro location

Install it in the drivers side manifold. Easy to do from the top- mine is between the 3rd and 4th exhaust port as suggested by the boys at ATS. Be sure to remove your crossover pipe and blow the shavings out of the manifold before you run it...
