Your post is not real clear..I think you are saying "I just picked up a 2004 6.0L ENGINE"...If this is the case..I think you would have some major modifications to make..first thing comes to mind is the transmission hook up problems..unless you got the tranny that came with your 2004 aqusition...but even then I think you'd have to do some serious mods...JMHO
As far as I know no one has done it. I looked at doing this but then I woke up Sell it and spend it on mods. You will be much happier.

Plus you'd be hard pressed to get that 92 to run as good on an IDI motor. Put that 6.0 in there and you'll be more than happy!

yeah i agree and i would have to spend alot of money on the 5L to get what the 6.0 has stock

And you don't think you're going to have to spend alot of money just to shoehorn that stock 6.0 INTO a '92 model?!
I imagine it will drop right in, but doing the wiring will be the real chore. It hasn't been done for the same reason that IDI to 7.3 PSD conversions haven't been done much. Too much of a headache. Actually, I've always thought if you could find a PSD used in a stationary engine application (like a generator. They DO make them) that you might have better luck with the electronics, since they would be simplified.
