A question about the Aurora 2000 turbo (and another about ISSPRO gauges).

I've been scanning the ATS website and looking for the upgrade kit for the 94 ford factory turbo. They apparently don't make it any longer, but they're willing to sell me the entire 94 non-turbo upgrade kit with the "Aurora 2000 turbo" (listen to the chorus of golden voiced angels singing those 3 words).

What I'm looking for here is info on this turbo as compared to a "standard" 94 ATS-supplied turbo for the Ford. Bigger? More airflow? Different ball bearings? What should my boost level be for this new system as opposed to the original?

Thanks guys.

Well as I hadn't had any coffee this AM when I originally posted, I kinda forgot to ask about ISSPRO gauges. My lcoal installer is wanting to install different gauges for me. His supplier "always" has the ISSPRO gauges returned because they "tick". Has anyone else had this problem or is this some supplier BS? I'm looking at analog EV gauges in an overhead (above mirror) mount.

Thanks twice.

I'd be very surprised if you can't get the items you want. Talk to PaFixItMan. He just ordered the upgraded parts very recently.

Re: A question about the Aurora 2000 turbo (and another about ISSPRO gauges).

I've always used the standard ISSPro gauges. The EV gauges have some electronics associated with them that I stay away from. Haven't seen an obove mirror mount, but I would suppose you could go with one of those shelf deals and put them up there. The A-pillar mounts are far more popular.

Re: A question about the Aurora 2000 turbo (and another about ISSPRO gauges).

Things that stick between me and my door tend to get banged up a bit. Will post pictures of the setup after its in.

Re: A question about the Aurora 2000 turbo (and another about ISSPRO gauges).

I just installed the entire ATS upgrade system and a set of three ISSPRO EV gauges last month. I am very happy with the turbo/exhaust upgrade and the gauges. No,they do not tick. EGT, Tranny Temp and Boost A-Pillar mount. Everything looks and feels great!
