i rebuilt my own to4E, first time ever playing with a turbo. After I run the truck a while i get oil running out of my exhaust. no smoke, just oil, is there a seal i forgot to put in? or should i look further into the motor.( I think it would smoke like a freight train if the oil was coming out of the motor). thanks for any thoughts.

Did you mark the position of your compressor wheel relative to the shaft before you disassembled the turbo?
If not, then it's now out of balance and that's why it's leaking. I know this because I made the same mistake on a 57 trim T04E that I was putting some new bearings in (got a bit hasty with the disassembly).
You'll want to have it professionally rebalanced, costs about $100. I had mine done by a place called gpop's turbo shop, they have a pretty quick turnaround. Look them up on google.
I do find it odd, though, that you have oil running into your exhaust and it isn't burning off...

I had the assembly balanced, put all back together with all lines marked inline. There is no oil in the intake side, nor does the engine smoke. Thanks for the help.

I had the same symptoms when I installed my turbo. It turned out to be my CDR was not venting and causing pressure in the turbo pedestal and the back pressure caused oil to flow over the exhaust impeller into tailpipe. No oil on compressor side. Mine was so bad it was dripping but only smoked if you revved it up.

ditto to the CDR, had a vent pipe on a PSD plug once and did the same thing, except he had stacks and the whole box sides wer covered in oil.
