Question on Installing Cruise Control

I just bought a 1989 F250 lariat with a 7.3 engine as a parts truck. It's a shame because its a great running truck with only 182k miles on the engine. However, I need the engine for my 1989 F350 bucket truck with a 7.3 engine. I can use a lot of parts from the F250 to jazz up my plain F350 (e.g. auto door locks, power windows, cruise control, etc.). The F350 does not have a cruise control. The help I need is to find out how difficult is it to switch engines and still be able to use the cruise control in the F350? The control buttons for the cruise control are on the F250 steering wheel. Is this task worth pursuing, can a average joe like me handle the mechanical work, should I look for a good mechanic or should I just give up on the idea?

Based on the history of the F250, it looks like the injection pump should be changed out when I pull the engine out for the swap. I've read earlier posts where some of you have had bad experiences with rebuilt injection pumps. Can anyone recommend a reliable source for a good rebuilt pump?

Re: Question on Installing Cruise Control

Johnsen engines in Harrisburg Illinois phone is 1-888-606-5507 The guy is an awesome guy to do buisness with he deals in mostly oem parts for ford as far as the cruise goes you should be able to swap your mechanical parts over and I believe you will need the wiring harness to the steering column.
