Question for member Navistardsl

Member Navistardsl, this is TheBlueMule. You left a comment not to long ago about my stacks or sidepipes question.

I was thinking earlier about stacks coming up outside of the bed. I thought it would look pretty cool and reminded me of a semi truck. I was wondering if you could post some pictures or e-mail me some so I can see a truck with them coming outside the bed.

I was told by many many people in Erie that you had to have a muffler to pass inspection. I may be wrong but that is what I was told, so thats what I always believed. I'm pretty good friends with the owner of the inspecion shop so I will ask him later. I want straight pipes though and if I do need a muffler, I'll figure something out. I hope you guys are right and I don't need one, but Erie sucks so I wouldn't doubt it that I need one.

Thanks, Tom

Re: Question for member Navistardsl

I have seen it done...straight pipes. But they can get hot so that is why you see those protectors on the semi, they dont get hot but the pipes will. But I am not sure you want them out side. They look out of place to me. The pipes coming out of the bed looks great to me but seem to rob space in the bed....

Planned upgrades are a new and better turbo and larger exhaust pipes than the 21/2s that are already under the rig/ would like a 6 spd tranny but dont know if that is a feasable or smart investment yet.
