Question for you IDI guys

A friend of mine is looking at trading his truck in it os a 1992F-350XLT 4x4 5 speed 7.3 with 190000 om it. Truck runs good but needs front end work (balljoints,tie rods,steer box, 4x4 u-joints, steer column,) wants to trade the truck in dealer says $2500 was wondering if it would be a good deal for me to buy this truck with the current 190000mi on it front to fix truck up front end etc would probaly cost about $2000 thinks it's worth it? Does anyone know what a factory reman 7.3IDI goes for? incase it ends up needing one in the next couple of years

Reman's run around $4000 for a crate engine. Less or more depending on what you want. With 190K on it, I would certainly factor that in, since if SCA maintanance is unknown or questionable, it may be ready to do something unhappy. If the truck is in good shape otherwise, I would think the price fair.
