Questions about 93 turbo diesel

I have found a 1993 Ford F-450 flatbed With a Turbo Dieselfor sale. This truck has been sitting for about 2 yrs.THe truck needs a rearend. It has a 5 speed with a new clutch/PP.Tires are Shot.I want it to swap the bed off my 90 F-350 7.3 IDI Diesel. The guy wants 2200.00 for it.What kinda problems could i expect from a diesel that has sat for 2 yrs?I have a power stroke F-250 but never driven a turbo Diesel Has will it compare to my 7.3L IDI?
Thanks in advance!!

Re: Questions about 93 turbo diesel

I suggest looking at prices of F-Superduty's on eBay. They use a special rear axle and you're going to have a hard time finding a replacement unless you're going to rebuild it. What I'm saying is you "may" pay more to fix that truck than it would cost to buy a running one.

Re: Questions about 93 turbo diesel

I have been thinking about the rearend. I have another prospect a 94 F-450 Cab & Chasis with the Turbo diesel 5 spd.I'll be pulling the dump bed off my 90 f-350 and installing on the newer truck.Still how does the Turbo diesel perform?
