R12 Certification Section 609

So, Last week I looked into getting my certification so I can "leagally buy and install" R12 in my trucks. I went to what someone here posted. It was called the IMACA Education Foundation. Downloaded the study guide and took the online test. I passed and got my certification. Now on to Ebay and boy-o-boy can you find the R12 there. One lb cans or 30 lb drums. Anything you could ever want. I'll be a buying it thats for sure. I had thought about changing over to 134A but really don't need to now. I'll buy enough to last me the rest of my lifetime... I kinda do that with things that are hard to get like turbo rods for our motors. I have 3 sets and am always looking for more....

Re: R12 Certification Section 609

Congrats on the certification!! Had mine for a few years now. Kinda shows you how concerned the EPA is about GW or conciquinces of R12. (NOT)
But it does educate you on what is and is not accepted for replacement gasses.

Make sure to take an approved course. I got my certification through ASE and it ain't worth toilet paper anymore. Early on you could use an ASE license but now it's no good, just a plaque on the wall.
