Rear brakes would not release until bleeding line - Diesel Forum

Hello, Need help
93 ford f350. The rear brakes would not release twice in the last 5 months.
The truck will still go but the rear brakes would not release putting it in a bind. Both times I was able to crack open the brake line at the rear tire and bleed the pressure off. You can actually here the rear brakes disengage when bleeding the brake line. Then all is fine untill the next time it happens.
Any help would be appreciated.

If it happens again, try bleeding the rear at the master cyl., may be a dual MC and the rear piston is sticking. If it won't release there it may be the ABS module.

Just a thought.

Consider doing an adjustment..... I would try the back up 15' firmly apply brakes, drive ahead 15' and stop. Do this about 10 times and you may solve the problem. You may also feel the pedal rise slightly.

The other cause could be an old rubber brake line to that wheel, internally causing a return blockage... they will do this on occasion.
