The Beast is Alive!
Solution:
It was air in the fuel lines. I did get it all back together properly and did what I was supposed to, but it just needed A LOT of CRANKING with the manual Fuel Pump, and a new batteries rated at 850 CCA instead of the 650's I had in it.
So, an electrical fuel pump would have helped (thanks Icanfixall) and a newer Gear Reduction Starter (Icanfixall recommendation)

now I just need to somehow find cheaper diesel fuel or a way to make it more fuel efficient.... :shrug
Anywho, it sure puts a smile on my face to drive my truck again!
