"Regular Coolant" Any Hope?

I keep running in to these early trucks for sale and the owners will say - "I just use regular coolant". Is there any hope for a 7.3 that hasen't had the SCA's added? Would a flush and new treatment prevent further cavitation to the block or is it best to avoid any truck that has not had the SCA's?

Re: "Regular Coolant" Any Hope?

When purchasing any vehicle, price is the #1 factor!
For example, I would buy a 1991 for $1500, and no SCA's, and drive it till it till it drops, who knows you may get over 100,000 miles on the beast!!!!
Remember there are no Crystal Ball with this cavitation junk!
