Saginaw PS pump on a 93 7.3?

Im just now (finally) completing my hydro-assist steering. For it to work efficiently I will need a Saginaw pump. I already have one waiting, but no means to mount it. I would like to know how can I mount it. If I recall correctly, dont the diesel vans use a saginaw pump? I just need something that will mount to my D side cylinder head and keep the pulley inline with the rest as well as have a mount for the AC and vacuum pump.
What can I do?
Thanks RA

Re: Saginaw PS pump on a 93 7.3?

Mine currently uses a C-II pump. Its gpm is too low for hydro assist.
The Saginaw is more reliable and has a higher gpm.

On the drilling out thing, are you takling about this:

Re: Saginaw PS pump on a 93 7.3?

Got hydrostop on my truck. got the plastic res. for the 88-94 f450. It has two return nipples one for the hydro and the other for the gear. never has a low boost issue on any of my F450's for running any Ford pump that came off a salvage Ford pickup. One more thing to consider, if you do use a saginaw pump, you will have to get a high pressure hose made to convert your ford fitting to GM fitting.

hydrostop=hydroboost...
Doesn't Ford use a O-ring style fitting and GM use a double flare type fitting? But then again, if it doesn't leak...go for it.

Re: Saginaw PS pump on a 93 7.3?

Oh I thought you were saying that it doesnt even thread in and I would therefore need to get a new hose. It threads in but may leak as you said... Ill see.

Still working on the bracket to mount it with...
Anyone know if a bracket off of a 6.9 or 7.3L van will work on my truck and keep the pulley in line with the rest? Do they have provisions for mounting an AC and a vacuum pump?

What GPM is a Saginaw pump?
What GPM is a CII pump?
