Sounds like saving pennies for an aftermarket turbo setup is a bit of a long shot (more like thousands of dollars). Based on a previous thread, you guys have convinced me to put a turbo kit on my truck. I live in BC for my friends in the south that is British Columbia, Canada. Any members on here know what it is gonna run me to put on a Banks or ATS kit (shipping costs) I haven't decided on which make, but from what I have read I am gonna go with the complete kit, exhaust and all. Should I get a wastegate? I would only be pulling heavy weight a couple of times a year as mostly my highway drives are with an ATV or lite cargo, nothing extreme.
If any one knows of a good used set up I would be open to that, I have a few months as I plan on installing this summer. But if nothing comes around I will just buy new.
I love my IDI, will never not own a diesel again, but I just wish my IDI would do a little more like my buddies PSD & Cummins.
Probly the cheapest will be a factory turbo set up for an IDI factory turbo. They can be found in the salvage yards relitively cheap. Also have you ever seen a Big Foot up there in BC?LOL
I'm originally from SE Washington state. I know someone that either found prints or really good fakes, I've seen the plaster casts of them. I don't buy it, but it's a good story.

I live in B.C as well. We go camping in the outback quite often and see a big foot nearly every trip. You can usually find them if you are still, creeping throught the trees with in a 100 yards or so of a meandering stream. They are mostly plant eaters but will eat meat if an easy opportunity comes along. Depending on the area you are in they will have different languages. They mimic the languags of other types of animals such as moose, or deer, depending what is abundant in the area. No just kidding but it is good for tourism, I've done my part now.
