Re: Shock advice

I ran the heavy duty ones from Napa and was happy - don't know who they contracted to print their name on the side but they were a pretty decent shock for the money.

Re: Shock advice

Main thing to do is stick with the name brands not settling for generic brands or the cheep shocks made really for automotive and 1/4 ton light duty trucks. If I am understanding all the information I have reviewed, you first have to decide what your truck is used for such as just a weekend ride where you only need a soft smooth ride or is it going to be pulling a heavy load on a regular basis where you need a firm shock. I understand there are some shocks you can pay the premium for but are offered in manually or automatically adjustable settings for the heavy load trips or the smooth weekend rides. When you go to buy, you must be able to tell the vendor you buy from what your truck is used for, what type of ride you want and the size or type of tires you are running on.
