Should I Buy It ?? '94 Turbo CC- Hi-Miles

First off, I have a good running SC with 163k. Had it for 8 yrs, know it in and out but have wanted a CC for many years, have 4 kids. Bad paint on hood, original clutch may be getting weaker???? Have a buyer lined up, $3,400.

Other truck is a '94 IDI Turbo that already has the ATS upgraded housing, shiny newer paint, charcoal grey, 5-spd with Luk I assume, replaced twice, Fancy Sony Avcdi3 stereo with lots of wattage, DVD Rear camera etc. Flexsteele seat but it needs some stuffing added under it. Clean interior. Newer spray in liner. Steel Gem top to match. Newer 35" BFG tko 12.50's on Weld wheels.
The Concerns, Seems to run good, drove nice, clutch does feel different than mine, engagement wise, ignition switch must be worn, can start with out key. Truck does have an alarm. Some oil at base of valve covers, a drip hanging off the starter, ( my truck really as no leaks). Had new pump some time ago and owner really seem to know diesels and had this since 60k, BUT it does have 251 K. Oil pressure on dash gauge was above 1/2.
I only drive 7k a year so that is many more years of life compared to my truck, but it is a nicer truck with many more goodies and a fair amount of more power, mine non-turbo. I don't mind the IDI due to lack off sensors and computer etc. and I want to stick with the 5-spd., I think.
How much life is left? Turbo life? He said he ran the coolant conditioner.

Ideas, Comments....

Thanks

Check the coolant for sure, bring some test-strips with you to verify the owner's claim of using the supplements.

Asking $7,250. I would like to pay $6,500 or less. Trucks in the North west seem to always hold value pretty well but theese are different times latley.

That is super sharp. I would easily have paid $6000-6500 for that....

IMHO the body looks to be in great shape, well worth rebuliding the engine when the time comes.....

Great looking truck. If I had the money I would definitely consider buying it.

I had purchased a 94 idi turbo cc dually off of ebay about 3 years ago for $3300 with 220k. It now has 260k and still runs great. All I have done was injectors and tires. It has a 5-speed 4;10 rear I get 14 mpg. The prices for these truck have been coming down but every so often a real nice one will come along and bring strong money.

I plan on getting it, just sold my '90 today. He has some air and oil filters and some fuel treatment too to go with the truck. We settled on $6,900. Now I just need to get a ride to work till I get the rest of the $'s together.

That's a real sharp truck there. 94 CC Turbo IDI's are a rare find, especially in 4x4.
