Ensure the belt has the right number of grooves and is the right length, check the tensioner for operation. To check tensioner remove the belt, apply some pressure to the tensioner to similate being under the belt now try and wiggle the tensioner in and out. This would show if the tensioner bushings are worn. Also try to turn each associated pulley to ensure they are not seized.
