So I cross threaded the #1 injector line...

While installing the new fuel return line kit I cross threaded the #1 cylinder fuel line (I believe its the #1 line, front passenger) I messed up the fuel line nut and the adapter. Luckily, not the injector. Is a fuel line from the junk yard going to be alright to install and whats the best way to put the new one on as I notice that line does not connect to the IP at the top (easy to reach place)? Any input would be most appreciated.

So I cross threaded the #1 injector line...

As long as the junk yard pull is the same line. They are all a certain length and not interchangeable.

Offset flare or crows foot is maybe your best bet. Otherwise you may have to remove the lines above it.

the standard procedure is to remove as many lines as possible starting at the top on the side you're working on.

if you have a skinny-ringed box wrench you can disconnect the line clamp, and feed the wrench onto the line from the injector end (remove it first obviously) and get in there to remove the IP end.

if you get lines from a van, remember to take the timing ferrule if you take the short line, because it's short. it's a different line on the van vs. the truck (#1 on truck and #4 on van? don't remember.)

Ok, let me see if I've got this right, if the line I get is from a van, take the adapter thing that connects the fuel line to the injector which is a timing ferrule from the van's #4 line? And one more question, when I get the new line, whats the best procedure for reconnecting the injector line to the injector? Would it be put on adapter to injector then attach line or attach adapter to line then connect to injector?

attach adapter, torque to 27 ft-lb I think, then the line to 22 ft-lb.

and yeah, if you get the line with the ferrule/adapter, just make sure to take the adapter, or the line will be too short.
