Speaking of another problem--
I have air bubbles in my radiator. Like soda fizz. LOTS of foamy, small bubbles! When I turn the engine off I hear bubbling/boiling sound for about a minute. Runs pretty well though. There seems to be circulation or I'd see overheating right?
What does this mean? Is this what cavitation looks like?
The engine (probably remanufactured) says "Dealers Diesel", a company now called REVIVA. Former U-Haul, about 30,000 miles on this engine.
No temperature rise, no cabin heat. I haven't replaced the thermostat yet, due to wind chills well below zero F, so I still don't know about the check ball either. Coolant looks a bit rusty, measures at -34F.
I'm thinking I made a mistake buying this....
