I can see the glow plugs as the cycle on the voltage regulator. but I still have some blue smoke until the truck gets going good then I have none the rest of the day. Or until I crank it the next morning.

Smoke is normal but blue smoke could be oil migrating to the #s 7 & 8 cylinders. How is the CDR valve.....
