Ok Boys,
The fact is that now that I have looked at all the options and somewhat facts like, I live in the snow for almost 5 months out of the year, I cross alot of creeks, I want more power and I want my IDI to be my camp/survivial rig, this being said, I think I might want to finaly go with stacks. The base question is , how hard is it to do?Next question, how big? We have a guy here in town that has a set of 3.5 he will sell me for about 100 bucks. What do y'all think?

When I do stacks I'll probably go 4 or 5" and I don't think $100 is a steal or anything. You are na, correct? I'd get custom exaust down starting either at or very close to the manifolds and run true duals and probably with mufflers.

Call me weird but I've always wanted stacks with the old flappers i like the way they jingle at idle.

I ran 5" on mine and they did have the old flappers in the winter. They drove me nuts. I currently have two sets of stacks, one brand new pair of turnouts and a 1.5 year old pair of straight w/ flappers. I could make you a deal on one set if you like. It took me about a day to install but I really didn't plan it out nor did I take it easy the night before. I would suggest using a bit of flex pipe under the cab to allow for the flex in the truck. I would also suggest some kind of mount to the bed rail to prevent massive vibration. I used a band clamp bolted to a piece of steel that bolted to the rail. Because the stacks are bolted to the bed and the other end of the exhaust is bolted to the motor you must allow for some flex.....expecially if the thing is used off road at all.

What are you lookin to get for the stacks with the rain caps? I'm in SoCal and would be willin to pick em up if the price is right! Shoot me an email at superf350@yahoo.com.
I like 5" myself 4 is okay any smaller and I don't think they fit the truck very well 3.5" is okay for a tail pipe but you have to realize you only see about 12" of it now when you have 3' sticking up it makes the pipe seem skinnier. I have pics of my setup but mines turbo'd
