Hello everyone...
My starter turns the engine over slowly to start with , but as i crank it goes faster and faster... even when engine is hot, so no oil issue, and gp's all goood, and brand new batteries and alternator..
I think its the starter wich is beginning to fail.. this starter has been in 2 trucks... and went along on over 400000km, so I have reason to beilive that it's about to fail...
And then I wonder if any of you have tried the hi-torque starter ?
I found one on ebay for about 150 bucks included shipping to norway!?
Is it worth going for ?

Ain't the internet awesome? As long as the new starter is a "Gear reduction" unit like a Mitsu or Nippondenso it'll be great. And for that price, shipped to you, it's a steal. Your engine will be happy, and like a woman, if she's happy, you're happy . OkieGringo

The OEM starter I took out of my truck was an AC Delco and it was NOT a gear reduction unit . OkieGringo
