Take a pic and post it...

That way I can have a good look at it. Could be calcium from water (coolant) leaking into the cylinders. Slime might be algea from fuel that sat in the cylinder. How long has the engine been sitting around?

If you ever have to...I am not the least bit leary of tearing into one of these things. After a Dodge V10 these are a piece of cake

How did your airstream gathering go?

new pics being added as we speak the white stuff is a crusty stuff almost like a thin layer of pumice and the green slime is goopy and nasty but it wipes off very easy

once i got the other head off i could see that at the rear of the vally pan there was a bolt holding it on

i scraped off the crud and used a 3/8 drive extention to get it out
where does that hole go though?
it looks pretty deep

the slime is im not sure what it is but it hasn't grown i know that
im thinking calcium too there cause the head gaskets weren't in too good of shape

Never had, but wouldn't surprise me. Did JD ever use this engine for any of their equipment ? That would be my only guess whey JD would have built injectors for it.

Then again, they probably would have been the same injector as all the other IH motors as I wouldn't think they would build their own and just stuck their Logo on the packaging.

All speculation I guess. You'll have to call a JD dealer and see if they come up with anything.

Here's something for ya, I have no clue though the dimensions, but they sure look similar in mechanical design.

John Deere Injectors

And here are some spec numbers to cross-reference.

Tractor Injectors
