My brakes have been strange of late. The pedal does not rise very quickly at all. I fact it rises so slowly that my brakes remain on for a bit longer than I'd like some times. *** is wrong now?

Since purchased in June 2003 repairs include: ball joints, tie rod ends, all u joints, water pump, radiator, brake calipers, brake pads & shoes, rear drums, front wheel bearings & seals, rear axel seals, replaced transfer case, rebuilt rear differential, replaced bent drive shaft, replaced drive shaft support bearing, K&N air filter, dual 2.5" exhaust.
Hmm... well lets look at all the components. Booster, master cylinder, flexible brake lines to calipers, calipers. Which one it is, I'm not sure. They're all a pain to switch out. Maybe someone will come with an idea on how to diagnose.
I wonder if air in the system or water could cause this.
