Stuck U-joint

Anyone have tips/tricks for removing a stuck U-joint? The joints on my front axle DANA 50 are rusted and kinking in one direction, causing the front wheels to shake a bit. I'd like to remove it myself and avoid a shop fee for pressing them out.

Thanks,
Brandon

Which one is it......Some require the casing be split......or do it in place.

If your on hard pavement that would be normal.

Its the right side. I noticed it was stuck when I had the right side all torn apart to replace my ball joint, but I didn't have the time to mess with it....stupid choice.

It does shake on hard pavement but I'm not using 4x4 when it does it. I used it this morning to pull a trailer through my field and took it out. Now its causing some excess shaking when I turn my wheels to the left.

Just don't want to tear it all down again.

You're going to have to tear it down to replace an axleshaft u-joint. I would recommend doing both sides while you're down there.
