T-19 Transmission

What years was the T-19 available with the 7.3IDI ?
How common was this combo?
Seems like the majority was ZF5's.
Thanks

the 4 speed went with the 6.9 , In 88 or late 87, when Ford switched to the 7.3, they switched to the 5 speed.

That's what I always thought.
I have a argument going with a guy who says T-19 was available through
1991. He claims the 4 speed was the base transmission for 7.3 and everything else was an option. I could believe that for 1988 or so but I thought by 91 it was all 5 speeds for the manual transmission.

My '88 spec book mentions 3 manual transmissions - the wide-ratio ZF, close ratio ZF, and light-duty Mazda, all 5-speeds.

Right, I've still got the showroom brochure from when I bought my '91, it was either a 5 speed or an automatic. I think that was the case since about '88. It would have been stupid to offer the 4 speed along with the 5 speed. My old 82 F-250 had the 4 speed and the split between 2nd and 3rd was so wide it was rediculous to tow with it.
