tank sending unit??

hey all i have a chance to buy a sending unit says for 89 to 94 f 250 but it has a fuel pump on it and my 94 idi dose not have a fuel pump in the tank. cna anyone fill me in on way this one has a fuel pump??

It's probably for a gas engine. The diesels with two tanks require a 3 line sender, the pump is on the engine.

well my truck has duel tanks and there is only two lines from the sender?? what is up with that LOL

My 86 and 92 both only have 2 lines on the sender, one for supply, one for return. But yes, that would be a gas sender, and I wouldn't advise using it for anything more than the sender parts themselves. You can take it loose and transfer it...

92 F350 2wd crew cab, 5.9 Cummins with A518 auto, 4.10 axle, gear vendors overdrive.

Sounds just like the unit in my gas 150. Had to replace mine. I think it cost me $150 a year ago at the after market supplier.
