Alright I have a 1990 F-250 XL 7.3L, 4x4, 5 speed, 116k miles, regular cab long bed. I bought this truck recently and don't know enough about it. I have been reading on here and learned alot already. So far all I have done to it is put in a Poineer CD player, Poineer speakers, new front brake pads, rear shoes, new regulator, and cleaned it up a bit. After planting season I'm going to sand down the body and repair it and paint it. What are some of the cons of this truck? What are some of the Pros? I can say I really like this truck, the only things I don't like about it is the stiff ride, manual locking hubs and slow accelleration. What are some good aftermarket upgrades for it?
The automatic hubs aren't all that great. Mine failed me to many times, so I put in manuals. Many here will disagree, but I was tired of having a 2wd truck disguised as a 4x4.

I changed the automatic hubs on both of mine. I know it's a little inconvienent to have to get out and lock 'em in, but I never got a factory set of automatics to work right. I got tired of the banging on tight turns in 4 wheel drive.
Here's everything I know about your truck: [ QUOTE ]

And here's my $.02 Get the SCA's checked, Add a turbo, get ready for a clutch/flywheel mods, think about saving for a Ijecton pump and injectors. Expect around 12-18 mpg. Russ

Secondary Coolent additive, also known as a a number of other things like DCA. Without your coolent will cavitate near the cylinder walls and eventually eat through the engine.
Supplemental Coolant Additive, also known as DCA. (Diesel Coolant Additive) It creates a sacrificial coating on the surfaces of the cooling system to prevent cavitation erosion of the cylinder walls.
