Planned upgrades are a new and better turbo and larger exhaust pipes than the 21/2s that are already under the rig/ would like a 6 spd tranny but dont know if that is a feasable or smart investment yet.

Do you have the right sized (length) belt for whatever year your Ford is. Was the tension to tight or slack.
Members have reported the main tensioner hold down bolt in the accessory bracket strips out and allows misalignment with the belt.

I have forgotten the length of the belt, either 111.5", or 112.5". To tell if your belt is the correct belt, take a look at the tensioner assembly. There is an arrow mark on the arm that moves, and two marks on the stationary part. when you have the correct size belt, the "arrow" will fall between the two marks, indicating that you have the proper belt.
