engine makes a thudding sound its a thud if you think of thud thats it what could this be and how do i fix this?

A bad injector will fire early and cause a bottom end knock.....

ok i found it the air cleaner will not seat right i tried like 20 times but if you block the air intake it sounds good
i got it to set well but the aircleaner just dont fit well any ideas i want to cut off the tabs on the bottom but idk ii was told they hold it in place

yeah they hold it in place from moving in a circular motion but you can just bend them out of the way. Justmake sure you have the air cleaner bolt tightened down. Try and find why it wouldnt seat.
i was considering a smaller air cleaner something from eddlebrock about 10in diameter and about 3 inches high

You could just remove it and run dryer hose with sound insulation down to a cold air intake. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif[/img] K&N million mile filter.
Look at OLDBULLS pictures i met up with him not long ago and he showed me how its put together. i really liked how he did it. He says it works better than the stock cleaner.
Why is the air cleaner not clearing the firewall now?
no clue why it wont clear has always rubbed. probaly the frame mods the previous owner had done, might have moved the engine back a bit, most ppl ive seen have a inch or two but...
its just to the point where its not sitting correct ... o and when i shorted my gp controler it became a flying saucer for a few feet but no dents or warpage
