I was in the process of changing out the water pump when I noticed one of the top two bolts were not tighting up. Come to find out that the little nut thats welded on the back side of that timing cover is broke. What do I need to do now??? I have read that taking this timing cover plate off is a NO NO.
So the front cover the one the waterpump bolts to is ok to remove? do I have to drop the oil pan and also does it go under the top timing gear cover that is a no no to remove?
