Took the Plunge!!

Well, after poking around here on the forums, reading around the net, and talking to a few folks I know who have Diesels, I have taken the plunge and bought myself a truck.
I picked up an 89 F350 XLT Crew Cab Lariat 4x4 E40D 4.10:1 with with the Early Banks Turbo Kit and Trans Command on it. The Exhaust is either 3.5" or 4" all the way back from the Turbo with No Muffler, Splitting off to Dual tailpipes behind the rear wheels. Other than that it seems to be pretty much stock.
Engine is said to have about 10K on it. Rebuilt by a previous owner with a stack or receipts that won't quit! IP, Injectors, and all seem to have been done.
Truck runs real strong and I had it checked out by a local Diesel shop before making the Deal.
I look forward to many more posting on this site and to share info as I get more into working on Diesel Engines.
Mike

Re: Took the Plunge!!

Yup, left side is just as nice Left side of Runboys f350

Pictures can be deceiving though - it has it's share of bumps, bruises, and scratches. Clear is also letting go in some areas.
Not to worry though - as you can see by my icon - I am a painter.

Re: Took the Plunge!!

Not bad. Wanna help paint mine? :-)

No clearcoat on the hood or top of the cab. Fading on quarter panels...
