took a test run today and I have some questions...
I took a test run this evening after I did a few modifications to my truck.
1) manual glow plug toggle
2) ram air
3) cranked teh external screw on the IP to about 3/4 the way out
4) internal screw on IP is at 3/8 turned up
5) re-located btoh batteries to the passenger side
6) took out the hood and fender insulation
the glow plug toggle and ram air are normal and work fantastic!!!
as for the IP, when ideling, its a little bit more clattery. doesnt really bother me but it does sound way differnt than the norm. now when i go to step on the accelerator, the motor revs up way quicker and while letting off the pedal it shuts down really fast! is that normal? BTW, i couldnt really tell how the smoke was since it was dark. BTW, there is a lot more power when accelerating! it will sit you back in the seat in a hurry!
before re-locating the batteries to the passenger side the gauge would read about the "o" on the normal. now im a little past the "L" with every light on and the radio on, higher with out the accesories on. i have very weak batteries to begin with. this doesn't sound to normal to me. also, to get the driver side negative cable to reach to the passenger side, i relocated the cable to where the passenger side negative cable bolted under the motor. i also shortend the postive cable that connects the two batteries to about 2 feet. does this sound normal? did i do somethin wrong? thnaks...............Gibson
