Re: transfer case

to rebuild yourself will be about 150. It is pretty easy to do. I did it in a day. get a kit on ebay and that will do it.

Re: transfer case

is your electronic or the stick shift mannual? mine in my 250 is mannual and someone had broke the shifter so i an in need of one of them and mine has only 2wd and 4 high, no low due to a broke shifter, second i have seen on the electronic ones that there is a little bushing or plastic stopper in the gear reduction unit that is in with the motor, that comes apart and cause the the unit not to be able to detreman where the case is engaged at. a piece of 5/16 fuel line will fix this problem by putting a piece in place of the plastic locator. it is cheaper then buy a new unit for the t case. now my older frod truck t case was making a whinning nosie at higher speeds and it was low in oil. so that fixed that for a while. but it needs to be redone in the near future, due to me being to sorry to check the oil earlier.
