truck box

I have a 92 f250 with a rotten box and I can get a good deal on a 87 8'box, what I am not sure of is will the bolt holes line up? does anyone have any info on this

I think they're all the same from 1980-1996, i know the cab lines are all identical. As for mounting holes, I'm not sure. I wish I knew what year box I got when I acquired my truck so I knew more, but I figure if the external shape is the same, there's no real reason to change the bolt locations...

You better eyeball one and compare. I could be wrong, but way back when a friend bought a '92 and brought it out to my place, seems like the bed bolt holes were in totally differently places than my '91 and earlier.
