how hard would it be to put a 94-97 turbo on an idi? is it ok to put a turbo on a truck with 157,000 miles? will a turbo blow an engine?
are the stock 94-97 turbos wastegated?

I am not sure of the diffuculty level of putting that turbo on the truck, but another member has done it to his 6.9, I imagine a bit of fab work and you will get it in there, You can turbo, well, forever, it can "hurt" an already weak engine, but if it well cared for and a strong runner, you will be impressed, and I believe the 94-97 turbo were a non wastegated variety.
