I id one full rotation of the outer screw then tightened the bolt around it which held the screw in place so it did not move. The truck fells like it has a hair more grunt if any on take off, but taking off it actually now boogs down more than before i turned it. and smoke amount no increase, might of even decreased at that. Do I keep turning it some more increments at a time or do i put it back? Just wondering what youl might the exhaust temp is still below 750 degree at WOT and now it has about 11psi now. Just wondering?
Hmm. I haven't done any adjusting on an outer screw IP so I can't say how much that changes. If I were you, I would adjust the screw on the inside of the injector pump (turn it IN about a 1/6 turn).
With more fuel you are probably going to get more bog if you just slam on the throttle (with a turboed engine). In order to take full advantage of the extra fuel and acceleration, it is best to step on the throttle gradually but quickly. (This will allow the turbo to have time to spool up).
The outside screw you adjusted is not going to make much differance. Go inside the upmp and turn it 1 flat towards the front of the truck and retest..... Be ready for a new ride...

I disagree alot on that one. The external fuel screw is going to make all the difference. If he already has his internal screw maxxed out, he needs to make sure his external is screwed ALL THE WAY OUT. It should just be holding on by a few threads. Just enough to keep it secured with the little nut. I had my internal screw maxed and it was still a little dead, once I let loose on the external and backed it all the way out I could blow black if wanted. IF you get that screw all the way out and still see nothing, you probably still have more adjustment on your internal. Scotty
ok ...cool!! ill try the inside one cause the outside one is maxed out and no big diffrence now the only thing is that when i hit 2900rpm it acts as thought the rev limiter is kicking in. it loses all power. So i think im going to back down the external and then tune the internal and go from there. again thanks for yalls help.

I would leave your external alone, you can always turn it down if you want. Just get in there with a 5/32's allen wrench and crank the internal all the way and then back it off one flat. I had pretty good luck with a 5/32's socket over the allen wrench, seems to be easier to move the screw. And if you are getting full fuel, you will see the power, and if you are hitting the govenor at 2900RPM there are ways to fix that too, but lets square away your fueling first. Scotty
