Re: vaccuum pump bolts?

That's something the ford dealer can tell you from their computer look up, on mine I think they were metric, if you ask them nice they might even fax you the page.

Re: vaccuum pump bolts?

This isn't the best advice, but I know that they have a 10mm head on them, and they are less than an inch long. I bet you could go down to the hardware store and buy a small handful of anything close and find what you need. Its a little work, but at least its not every accessory and accessory bracket bolt for a mid 90's Subaru six cylinder. That was NOT fun.

You know, that's one of the whack things I've noticed about this 7.3L in mine...some of the bolts are standard sizes and others are metric. The other day I replaced the Alternator and needed to different wrenches (1 metric, 1 standard). The 2 bolts on the top were metric and the long bolt on the bottom was a standard... Re: vaccuum pump bolts?

thanks guys,
so they are about an 1" long each. i can find bolts around the garage to fit it then. just didn't want them to be too long.

Yeah, I know what you mean. When I ripped the engine out of my old F250 I was pissed about the metric mix. One or the other please.

If you need to put washers on your bolts because they are too long, you have tons of room to do so before they will hit anything.

Re: vaccuum pump bolts?

My bet is - International parts are standard, Ford parts are metric.

Ford used commonized parts and went metric in the late 70's, early 80's.
