Vacuum Modulator c6 (Diaphragm)

Does anybody have a P/N or know where I can buy a new vacuum modulator? To clarify, this is the one on the tranny, not the VRV near the engine.

I tried autozone, but no luck. Is this a dealer item only?

Thank you.

Thanks guys.
I'll have to check when I get home, but I don't recall noticing a color. Is there any other way to distinguish between them?

I replaced mine about a year ago...got the part from the local AutoZone. Part number MV208. Autozone's website still shows the part is available. Just go on their website (AutoZone.com - Get in the Zone!) and do a product search for MV208.

Thanks for the help. It was barely visible, but I have a green stripe. My local Napa had a replacement. The guy there said the different colored stripes indicate different **** points. If this is so, could you use whichever modulator gave you the shift points you want?

I'm more concerned about getting it to shift than I am about the shift points, but was just curious.

Not sure about your **** point, but look for an aftermarket modulator that is adjustable. There is a small screw accesible through the vacuum connection that you can adjust for different levels of engine vacuum. This is very handy for engines running hotter cams etc. Try any good performance or tranny shop. Hope the modulator is your problem...

The BLACK stripe is for diesels. You should be able to find it at the dealer or any tranny shop. Kevin

I already installed the green one and it's shifting now. Will this cause problems?

Are the shifts at the same speed, intensity as before from what you can remember....

There a re 2 types of vacuum diaphrams HAD high altitude, SAD single altitude

SAD's have green, black and purple stripes.......

The Throttle valve rods have different colors too........

Purple Daub
Yellow "
Blue "
Green "
White "
Brown "

So matching perfectly would be a wise choice if possible.........

It seems about the same, but it's been a while since I have driven it. What is the "throttle valve rod", the rod inside the modulator?
Thanks,
