wait to start light - Diesel Forum

I have a 93 idi turbo. I replaced all 8 glow plugs with zd-9s. The problem is when it's real cold the wait to start light won;t come on. If I turn it over a short time and stop then the light will come on shortly. After a couple of trys it will start. Then after it warms up if I shut it off and try to restart it will work normally. Any suggestions? Thanks Jason

Check the GP controller ground ensure there is a Vgood ground, if it's to a valve cover bolt now, extend it to a better hard point. The WTS light connector is it secure......

Thanks guys. It was fixed with cleaning connections on the glow plug controller and an extra ground wire to controller.
