Water Temp Guage - Diesel Forum

I recently installed a numerical temp guage and after running for about an hour on the freeway, the guage was reading about 195 degrees. The outside temp was about 70 degrees and I was traveling about 70 mpg. This reading placed the needle just past the mid point and I thought that was just a little high. Your thoughts? Thanks.

Diesel engine coolant temperature at the top of the radiator where hose attaches after high rpm or under load condition for 20 minutes should be (195-237*F) 91-114*C nice time to have a temperature reading point and shoot tool.
