I'm getting ready to install a water temp. gauge. What do you all think is the max. water temp. I should let it get to. Want to get a gauge with the right graduation's. Thanks Wayne

Travis got it correct. When you run these motors hot (244 deg) you rist cracking heads and pushing out coolant or head gaskets. Try to maintain temps below 225 just to be kind to your motor.

Block decked and sleeved on all 8. Shimed oil pump for higher pressure. Intake and exhaust logs ported too. Hypermax in shop waiting to be installed later....
