whats it worth?

what would my truck be worth if i was going to sell it to a friend? or, more importantly, how much would you pay for it if a friend was selling it to you? the truck im selling is in my sig.

things i have replaced/fixed:

water pump and thermostat
starter
front rotors/calipers/pads
Rancho RS9000 all 4 corners
10,000 miles on BFG all terrain
9 month old batteries
new muffler coming thursday
new tranny cooler
new tranny filter and flush
new U joints
new FIPL

toolbox is included. thats all i can think of right now. thanks for your input.

Re: whats it worth?

Looks like a sharp truck....I am thinking $6000-$7000 but thats just my ballpark, since it appears clean except for inevitable underbody rust issues due to location!

Re: whats it worth?

Yup, nice lookin' truck. Price to sell/buy from a friend? $0. Would never do it personally, too many things to strain the friendship.
But, to a stranger, I'd say you'd be in the ballpark around $6K (final price... start @ 7).

Re: whats it worth?

x2 on the selling to a friend idea. I did that once and the car heater, alt and radio crapped out during the coldest winter I can remember.

Re: whats it worth?

Yeah, that's how it usually goes... if you'd sold the same car to a stranger, everything woulda been fine. Go figure

Re: whats it worth?

If he's a truly good friend:
a) You shouldn't need to consult us. Ask him how much he wants to pay for it.
b) Definitely sell it to him for the amount you have in it, and then reduce that amount based on wear-and-tear from you owning it (i.e. tires, mileage)
c) He should already know its background from how good/bad you treat it, and therefore should also not complain if problems arise thereafter with the vehicle.

Those are just my opinions.

Re: whats it worth?

thanks for your input....

he knows all about the truck because he is a diesel mechanic for WM in Rochester and i have called him for help before. i was going to ask him about the price but i wanted to know what you guys thought first. if i had a lot of money i would not ask for it, i would just give it to him. on the other hand, if i had that kind of money i would just keep it as a project/off road truck!
