Question Where is the RPM sensor...

is it at the top of the timing chain cover? My tach has been intermittent lately.
The wires at that location are bare for an inch or two, maybe they are touching?

Thanks.

I got a used one that is fine. I replaced it thinking it was to blame for RPM issues. You can have it for postage......

Cut one wire and use heat shrink tube jammed into the sender as far as possible to separate wires......then solder and shrink tube.
