White smoke

My friend has a 7.3 IDI. He has new injectors and injector pump. He says everynow and then it'll blow some white smoke. I was thinking cavitation, but i wouldn't think it would be just everynow and then. He has never used any SCA additive. He also says the truck runs pretty cold, around the N to the O esp at idle.

did he have the ip timed when he installed the new ip and injectors.

i dunno, i'll ask him when i see him tuesday. I didn't think about that. How do you set the timing on these engines?

There is a specialmeter that hooks up to the #1 injector and reads crank position with a timing light. Then you adjust it by rotating the ip. You should take it somewhere and have it done but if your good you can try to do it by ear.
