Will they interchange

The backs of my grill and headlights are all broken up from before i purchase my truck... Was wondering if anyone knew whether or not the front set up to the newer style '95ish will fit in place of my old '90 grill and lights? Visually it looks like it would...anybody know?
Thanks!

Re: Will they interchange

Just got a 90 7.3IDI myself a month ago. The odometer only goes to 100,000 miles then starts all over again. The only way you might be able to tell how much milage is on there is get an AUTOCHECK on it. Mine had 80700 but it appears the odometer turned over 3 times, close as I can tell it's 280,000+. There is a charge to do that if you really want to know. autocheck.com

No you cain't have my grill & lites.

Re: Will they interchange

Don't think so. None of the panels are the same as an 87-91, so the grill and headlights probably won't fit right.

Re: Will they interchange

The only thing that's the same is the radiator core support. It appears that the core support is the same from 80-96.

Re: Will they interchange

The whole front clip changed each time they redesigned. The fenders, hood, lights, grille etc are all matched together.

IMO the 92+ front clip is a tremendous leap forward from the flat front and is a worthwhile swap.

If you do the swap, try to get the whole clip including the core support and inner fenders. My old wrecker had the newer clip on it, but there were a lot of "unattached" parts due to missing brackets and the inner fenders not being the same shape.

Re: Will they interchange

Mr. Roboto, are you saying that if i would go about the front swap, I'd need the fends, hood lights grill etc in order to do it?

Re: Will they interchange

That is correct. If you put the 2 trucks side by side you will see that all the parts are different.
