Wiring Diagram

I need to figure out some wires so if anyone knows of anywhere that can decode the wires that would be just great. (it's on the '88)
Because my clearance lights dont work on my tail lights. I have an idea where the prob might be but i dont know what color the wire is so that would be great to figure out the wire color codes on the ole' girl
Thanks,
Zach

Re: Wiring Diagram

are you just looking for running lights?
i'm 95% sure that when i installed my aftermarket cab marker lights i tapped into the brown wire off the headlight switch.

i can always go check for you if someone doesn't chime in soon. Pete has tons of schematics... look over HERE, or just wait for him to speak up.

Re: Wiring Diagram

If no answers before this evening I will look up the colors and maybe try to scan in a picture of that portion.

Re: Wiring Diagram

For the stock wiring the color is brown from the R terminal of the light switch. It ties to the tail light/marker light brown wire. There is also a warning buzzer on this circut. Doesn't say what the buzzer is for.

Re: Wiring Diagram

You may consider the purchase of the Ford Manual, on CD ROM, E-Bay, under $20.
Boot Leg, for sure, but I would NOT sell mine for triple.

Re: Wiring Diagram

I have been gone. I have a surplus Ford CD that I really like if it still worked. All my current info comes from my Haynes or Chilton manuels. The Haynes has the wiring diagram. I also have a Haynes Deisel engine repair manuel. My diagrams are just schematics and don't show location. The ford CDs have a component locator that show where on the vehicle the part is. I have several of these CDs for varieous cars.
