He mentioned about an 11 second time for the WTS light, that indicates working GP's. If you use Beru GP's anti-sieze isn't required.

mine was like that,,turned pump up half a turn,,,starts right up now,,,easy start too,,,but had same problems,,world of difference too in power,,before couldn't hardly get any black smoke lugging or anything,,,now i do,,i know its wasted fuel but this might be your problem,,,,,hauled 11 1500 pound bales on a 24 ft trailer and she did it,,,couldn't do that before,,,,and it flys now for a idi,,,biiiig difference

International 856 wide front and a super h wide front ,, both have three points for haulin those bales.
63 w200 power wagon 17.5 inch e rated tires,,4 spd, 410's plus a six popper, she's a lil slow but she'll go anywhere yu point her
New to fleet 95 dodge 3500 EXT CAB 4x4 5 spd cummins power, 4 inch exhaust,
also new 88 f350 4x4 non turbo 5pd straitpiped long bed 410's

It doesn't sound too slow to me, although it could be faster. The slight catches make me think fuel drainback.

The white smoke you are seeing at the end of the video is the unburned fuel you dumped in while cranking.

Pull the starter and inspect the bendix end of the starter bushing, I'll bet is mushroomed out.

Are you referring to the fuel injector pump?

now 327,000 miles & 8 yrs (bought with factory remanufactured engine @ 119K miles)

14.5 mpg @ 65 mph cruise control & AC

Casually looking for a good used (secondary) overdrive....

Real trucks don't have spark plugs!

"Turning up a pump" won't make a vehicle start easier. When it's cold, you give it more pedal, this is the way you "choke" a diesel under cold start conditions.

Hey dually, and others, if you need to pull the starter, when you go to put it back in, get a 10" bolt run a nut on it for the size of the top bolt, you can start it with your fingers then get right on it with a tool, they use to make me nuts till I came up with this, I do it a lot, I re check them and they are always tight, hope this helps, I know guys spend an hour trying to get that top bolt in, I just reach up there and put it in.
