He mentioned about an 11 second time for the WTS light, that indicates working GP's. If you use Beru GP's anti-sieze isn't required.

It doesn't sound too slow to me, although it could be faster. The slight catches make me think fuel drainback.

The white smoke you are seeing at the end of the video is the unburned fuel you dumped in while cranking.
Pull the starter and inspect the bendix end of the starter bushing, I'll bet is mushroomed out.

Are you referring to the fuel injector pump?

"Turning up a pump" won't make a vehicle start easier. When it's cold, you give it more pedal, this is the way you "choke" a diesel under cold start conditions.

Hey dually, and others, if you need to pull the starter, when you go to put it back in, get a 10" bolt run a nut on it for the size of the top bolt, you can start it with your fingers then get right on it with a tool, they use to make me nuts till I came up with this, I do it a lot, I re check them and they are always tight, hope this helps, I know guys spend an hour trying to get that top bolt in, I just reach up there and put it in.
